First meeting the business consultation
First physical meeting to understand your short, medium and long term business objectives.
Understand the specifics of your market and your customers.
If possible, get feedback on your sales methods in the countries where you are already established. Present you in more detail my working methods and define the adequacy to your needs.
Following this first meeting, we will decide on the spot or after a few days consideration whether or not to move on to the next step.
Drawing up the commercial sales agent contract
The purpose of this contract is, among other things, to set the objectives, the rules of the commercial activity that I, as a commercial agent (or business developer) should respect rigorously.
During this somewhat more legal phase, exchanges by e-mail and telephone will normally be necessary in order to arrive in the end at a commercial agent contract that is a win-win situation for both parties.

Commercial agent contract agreement
This is the formalization of the cooperation between your company and myself.
After this stage, the working preparations can be put into action.
I am thinking, among other things, of all the documents that can be shared by the company to facilitate the commercial agent in his approach to conclude new contracts. These documents can be of a technical, commercial, marketing or any other nature, the aim being to have adequate working materials.

Timeline - Commercial Agent Registration
Depending on the established commercial agent contract, it will take one to three weeks to formalise the start of the commercial agent’s activity at a legal level. This is linked to the reporting obligations to the French Special Register of Commercial Agents.
After this short period of time, the first contracts and orders can be officially placed. In the case of collaboration as a business developer, this period can be shortened to a few days only.

Development of your sales, of your turnover
The most expected step for both parties is the growth of the turnover resulting from the activity of the commercial agent, or of the business contributor if applicable. In the geographical area, pre-defined and concretised in writing in the aforementioned commercial agent contract, each potential customer will be approached and preferably met in person in order to discuss the benefits of your products or services. A complete monitoring of new orders will be established, including other key performance indicators (KPI). The aim here is to be able to communicate proactively with you.

Follow-up of your turnover
Meetings, the frequency of which will be defined, between you, the mandatary and me, the business developer (commercial agent or sales representative) will allow regular updates on sales figures. They will also allow us to review whether the objectives have been reached and whether other areas of development should be defined or not. These types of meetings will be held, as far as possible, in a physical setting. But, thanks to the current technology, the visioconference can be a considerable asset if there is a long distance between you and me, for example.

2007-2009 – Energy sector for a producer of aluminium alloys with clients such as Nexans or Pirelli cables.
2009 – Engineering sector at Caterpillar, assignments for internal customers.
2009-2019 – Various sectors, for a processing company of steel products with various clients, such as the oil, nuclear and aeronautical industries.
2020-… – Sales agent and business contributor according to your needs and specificities.
